Passionate ChiCo5 Want the Trophy!
A very spirited ChiCo5 team look to take victory in the Women’s Supa-Liga A Grand-final this Saturday. This season saw ChiCo5 newly promoted to the WSLA, but it isn’t the first time in their history that they are competing for the trophy in this leagues Grand-finals.
ChiCo5 have pulled out some great results this season including a 5-2 win against league winners Scarborough Sharks. Joint leading golden boot Amanda Litana having scored 8 goals this season is in form and has been a big threat in the ChiCo5 attack. Ingrid Gomez Basallo, Cainna Dietz and Tania Oyarzún have also been dominating figures on the court.
In a recent interview with long time player Tania Oyarzún she said, “as a team, we have improved a lot through the year and we feel happy to be in this instance once again, this time against Cobras, an amazing and talented team!”
She also mentioned that ChiCo5 “want to keep playing our game (this weekend) and enjoy every minute on the court, we will focus on that, giving our best and running every ball as if was the last one.’’
Tania Oyarzún has a message for the Cobras Women, “Head’s up Cobras! Chico5 is compounded by passionate women, we carry football in our DNA, and we will do our best to bring the trophy home!”
This weekend’s Women’s Supa-Liga A Grand-final will be played at Subiaco Futsal at 6pm. It will be a thrilling match and one ChiCo5 are going to fight for.
