Cobras Men Look to Strike
The West Coast Cobras Men’s A are raring to go this Saturday night for the Grand-finals. Even though they are new to the Supa-Liga A competition this season they are certainly ones to watch. The Cobras men were recently promoted after a very successful 2020/21 summer season which saw them take away the Men’s Supa-Liga B league championship as well as being crowned the grand-final champions. This season in the Men’s Supa-Liga A the Cobras have finished placed 3rd and, in many games, have been a dominating force.
In a recent interview with West Coast Cobras Coach John Goodlich he reflected on the season so far.
“It’s a very big achievement for the club to get to the Grand-final in their first season back in the A division and we could not be more proud of the players that made it happen. We are confident with the squad we have and the good run of form we’ve had off the back end of the season, that we can go back-to-back and win another trophy.’’
Goodlich mentioned his side “will need to be switched on and play with intensity right from the get-go. We need to neutralise the Hawks major threats such as Houston, Rindel and Ellis along with being smart about how we attack as beating a keeper with the quality of Formato is never an easy task.”
If you want to see the Cobras men lay down the gauntlet, get yourself down to Subiaco Futsal on Saturday night at 7:15pm.
